WOOTEN, VERDO JOHN (VJ) born on April 12, 1919 in Ashley County, AR and passed away September 19, 2011 in Dallas, TX. Our loving husband, father, pa and faithful friend Verdo John Wooten (VJ) was taken from this earth on September 19, 2011. V.J. devoted himself to loving his family and friends after his retirement. He was a marketing consultant and built lifetime personal relationships with many of his clients. V.J.’s life was a reflection of his relationship with Christ. He always had a smile on his face which he will be remembered for. He enjoyed teaching and being a part of Lakeside Baptist Church as long as he was able. Words cannot express the love, devotion and commitment shared in his marriage to Shirley of 58 years. Being a part of this kind of love has made a lasting impression on his family and friends. V. J. is survived by his children Dennis and wife Susan, Beverly and fiance Randy, Jeremy and wife Angela. Grandchildren: Deanna Hermes Shields, Shirley Hermes, Robin Wooten, Jayci Miller, Jaxon Miller and Rylee Miller. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM, at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Service will be held on September 22, 2011 at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
