Vernal Hudson Mcminn's Obituary
MCMINN, VERNAL H. Went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 31, at age 78, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded to heaven by his daughter Patricia, parents Thomas and Mary and brothers Thomas Jr., John, Donald and Ollie. Vernal is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruby of Hawkins, daughter and son-in-law Vernona and Jack Powell of Richardson, sisters Martha Connelly of Las Vegas and Nancy Alexander of Farmer Branch, brothers Jimmy McMinn of Greenville and Jerry McMinn of Katy, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Sears where he had worked as a technician and supervisor. Vernal was a member of the Nazarene Church. Services will be held at 3:30PM, Monday, August 4, 2008 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, his family ask that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
