Vernell Keller's Obituary
On November 28, 1926 in Pittsburgh, TX, Reverend Sherman and Essie Taylor were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their 7th child to come into the world. They were joined again with their daughter on April 16, 2015. Vernell Taylor was a wonderful daughter, caring sister, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. Vernell attended Dallas Public Schools and graduated from Anderson Bonner High School. From there she attended Texas College in Tyler, TX. She was employed with Dallas ISD and retired from O.W. Holmes in 1994. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Christian Chapel C.M.E, which is now Christian Chapel Temple of Faith, were she served as a Stewardess Emeritus and was part of the Missionary Emeritus. Vernell was also a member of The Order of The Eastern Star. Vernell married George A Keller, Jr. in 1947, and to this union 4 children were born. Paul J. Keller (preceded her in death), Charles R. Keller, Georgia N. Hilburn, and John H. Keller. She leaves to cherish her memory children: Charles R. Keller, Georgia N. Hilburn, John H. Keller (Lisa). Grandchildren: Steven Keller (Sandra), Charles R Keller Jr., Jiminell Hilburn-Harris (Elvis), Walter Keller, Aaron Hilburn (Nikcolette) Dwayne Johnson and Brandie Hilburn. 8 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith at 1 pm on Thursday, April 23 with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
