Vernon Eugene Wisdom “Gene” age 74 of Carrollton, TX passed away on November 23, 2018, in Plano, TX. He was born on July 28, 1944, to Clarence Wisdom and Leila Nix in Dallas, TX. He was an accountant at Nationstar Mortgage, PMC Financial, Oilwell, a division of the US Steel.Gene is survived by his daughter, Dana Wisdom Nelson and her husband, Steve Nelson of Garland, TX; brothers, James H. Wisdom, and wife, Sara of Marshall, TX and Louis M Mathis of Richardson, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Wisdom, mother, Leila Nix, ex-wife and lifelong friend, Wilma Wisdom, sisters; Ruby Richardson, Shirley Batson, and niece Joni Putman Land.Vernon was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved fiercely, worked hard and loved to laugh. Generous and kind. Meticulous in everything he did.“Daddy, Gene, and Gene Bro – You are loved and will be greatly missed.”The family will receive guest on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel.
