Veronica Salas' Obituary
Veronica Salas passed away on April 16, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was born in San Antonio, Texas; however, spent her early years in El Paso, Texas, before pursuing her education and lifelong passion for service. Veronica earned her undergraduate degree from McMurry University and went on to complete her graduate studies at the University of Phoenix. Driven by a deep commitment to justice and helping others, she began her career as a Dallas County Probation Officer where she faithfully served her community. She later continued her distinguished career as a U.S. Federal Probation Officer, dedicating herself to public service with integrity and compassion.
In 2018, Veronica married her soulmate, Vanessa SinghDhillon. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and family. They were blessed with their daughter, Priyah, in 2021 who was the light of Veronica’s life.
Veronica found joy in dancing, staying active, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She had a gift for bringing people together—whether through her incredible grilling, her deep appreciation for family traditions, or her unwavering support for others. She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the way she made people feel seen and valued.
Veronica is survived by her loving wife of 8 years, Vanessa SinghDhillon; their daughter, Priyah; her grandmother, Victoria Terrazas; her mother, Beatriz Salas-Terrazas; her brother, Luis Francisco Salas (Jessica Salas); and her sister, Gabriela Salas. She was preceded in death by her father, José Flavio Salas.
A Funeral Mass will be held on May 15, 2026, at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas, followed by interment at Restland Cemetery in Richardson, Texas. A celebration of Veronica’s life will take place immediately afterward at the family residence at 411 Birch Lane in Richardson, Texas 75081.
