Violet "Vi" Tonnemaker's Obituary
Violet “Vi” Tonnemaker, aged 70, of Corpus Christi, TX, died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 1, 2013. She was born July 8, 1943, in Hope, AR, to the late Dale and Gladys Tonnemaker. Vi attended Hope High School, and graduated in 1961. She went on to attend Ouachita Baptist University on a basketball scholarship in Arkadelphia, AR. Vi later worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for several years. She was a retired procurement management specialist for the Presbyterian Hospital. Vi is survived by her sisters, Virginia and Carl Willis of Arlington, TX; Vera and Wayne Johnson of Shover Springs, AR; Vivian Mitchell of Van Buren, AR; Valdene and Charles Blackmore of Benton, AR; nephews, nieces, other relatives, and a special friend. Funeral services for Vi will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. Reverend Roy W. Johnson will officiate.
