Lt. Lee was my first lieutenant when I was a rookie at the Northwest Division in 1980. I recall answering a major disturbance call at a bar on Harry Hines late one night and it was the type of call where several officers were required due to a large crowd. We were getting the situation under control when Lt. Lee pulled up, got out of his cruiser and jumped right in helping us handle the situation. I never forgot that because most patrol lieutenants were not active in the field (at that time) and would pretty much stay in the station. He was a good man and I respected him very much. My deepest sympathy to his family,
