Virginia Arsers' Obituary
Virginia Louise Dunlap Arsers, 72 years old, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, William Lloyd Dunlap, and her mother, Leona Louise Krueger Dunlap. Virginia was the cherished wife of Patrick Linton Arsers, married on June 1, 1968, and beloved mother of Michael Martin Arsers. She is survived by her husband Pat, son Michael and his wife Emily Hébert Arsers. She was born in Alice, Texas on November 10, 1946 and grew up in Premont and Corpus Christi, Texas. Virginia attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she met her future husband Pat. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1968. Virginia was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, serving as president to the Sigma Alpha Chapter, and later as Phi Province President. Prior to the birth of her son, Virginia worked as an office manager at the American Drill Team School for 5 years. Virginia was a dedicated volunteer at her son’s alma mater, St. Mark’s School of Texas. She eventually worked there for 13 years in a variety of roles, including Technical Services Librarian and Business Office Coordinator, where she organized some of the school’s major events, including Baccalaureate and Commencement until her retirement in 2017. Virginia had a passion for travel, needlepoint, and gourmet cooking with her dinner club. She was also an active member of the Northwood Woman’s Club and Dallas C.P.A. Wives Club. A memorial celebrating Virginia’s life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 75080. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark’s School of Texas. Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
