Virginia Carol Edwards' Obituary
Virginia Carol Edwards, born September 22, 1938, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Joseph and Della Phelps. She left this earth on July 21, 2018, in Richardson, Texas. She graduated from Manitou High School in 1956 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1981. She married her beloved husband Jessie “JD” Edwards on November 24, 1955. Carol is survived by her children, Joey “Randy” and Susan Edwards of Garland, Noel Edwards of Richardson, Tracey and Rick Anderton of Bedford, and Sean and Lana Edwards of Garland; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Webb, Justin Anderton, Joe Edwards, Bradley Edwards, Douglas Rynders, Stephanie Clontz, Stacy Clontz, Tyler Potts, Ashlee Potts and Shelby Potts; three great-grandsons, John, Luke, and Andrew; and sisters: Sally Tolleson and Ann Marshal. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jessie “JD” Edwards and brother Jesse “Butch” Phelps. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Restland Wildwood Chapel.
