Virginia Higgins' Obituary
Virginia “Gina” Cranor Higgins was born March 24, 1918 in Forest City Arkansas and went to be with her savior on March 5, 2009. She attended Dodd College in Shreveport LA and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway where she met her husband of sixty seven years, Walter Eli Higgins. Virginia and Walter moved to Richardson, TX in 1954 where they raised their family. She was a retired teacher with the RISD with twenty years of service. Virginia was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson since 1954. After retirement, she volunteered at Heritage Village Nursing Center and Network. Virginia is survived by her husband, Walter Higgins of Richardson, son Walter Higgins III and wife Beth of Kingwood, TX and son Steve Higgins of Trinidad, TX, grandson, Brandon Higgins of Austin, TX and grandson Colby Higgins and wife Tiffanee Higgins and 3 great grandchildren: Brayden Eli Higgins, Haylee Dawn Higgins and Steven Gage Higgins, all of Lake City, TN. Virginia Cranor Higgins was preceded in death by her father Jim Cranor and mother Vesta Finley Cranor of Forest City, AR, sister Mary Cranor Curtis of Marianna, AR, brothers Howard Cranor of Forest City, AR, brothers Howard Cranor of England, AR Albert Cranor of Heath AR and Earl Cranor of Forest City, AR.
