Virginia Kilcrease's Obituary
Virginia F. Kilcrease of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 a the age of 90. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Walnut Hill UMC Foundation, 10066 Marsh Lane, Dallas, Texas 75229.Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Holmes Freeman; father, Dr. DeWitt Winthrop Freeman; two brothers and a sister.She is survived by her daughters, Judy Blome (Robert) and Lynn Watkins; granddaughter, Stephanie Dees (Brian Wynn); great grandson, Dylan Dees and numerous nieces and nephews.Virginia graduated from Georgia State Woman’s College (now Valdosta State University) and began her career as a social worker and then went on to be an English teacher, took time off to raise her daughters, and then was active in the Apparel and Trade Marts until her retirement. She was a 58+ year active member of Walnut Hill UMC, a long-time member of Circle Review Club, and a passionate bridge player, active in two bridge clubs at the time of her death. Mom loved the Lord, her family and life. We will miss her, but know she is happily reunited with Dad in Heaven.
