Virginia Kingsley's Obituary
KINGSLEY, VIRGINIA – After several successful years as a real estate paralegal and business manager, Virginia joined Joe Foster Company, a commercial real estate business, and was elected a corporate officer in fewer than six months. Virginia was responsible for securing financing for the company’s purchases and renovations of income producing properties. After nine years, Virginia joined American Federal Bank, FSB, as a Senior Asset Manager managing a portfolio of more than 500 multi-family properties. Shortly after she was promoted to CEO of Capitol City Federal Savings in Austin and soon after was tapped to open and manage an office of the RTC in Tulsa. Under her leadership, this office, whose territory included 36 institutions in Oklahoma and Arkansas, managing $8.2 Billion in real property assets. As the only female office director in the U.S., she averaged three-to-five speaking engagements weekly and had express authority to make decisions regarding transactions up to $25 million each. Most recently, Virginia has worked on a part time basis and traveled the world. She has also enjoyed spending time with her three sons and four grandchildren, her daughter-in-laws, and of course her cat. Virginia filled her spare time with artistic endeavors including crafting jewelry. Virginia had an incredible creative talent for design and appreciation of art, architecture, and cinema. She was also an accomplished pianist and music teacher. Virginia is survived by three sons, Jack Edmonds, Jeffrey Edmonds, and Bradley Edmonds; and four grandsons, Tyler Edmonds, Taylor Edmonds, Jacob Edmonds, and Jason Edmonds.
