Obituary for Virginia Ann McDonald WallisServices for Virginia Wallis, 91, of Garland, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Restland Funeral Home in the Abbey Chapel. Mr. Jack Harris will be officiating. Internment will follow at Restland.Virginia passed from this life in Garland, Texas, on Friday, February 8, 2019, surrounded by her family.Virginia was born on September 19, 1927, in Dallas, Texas to Roma Neal McDonald and Rollie McDonald. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Jim Wallis; sister, Patsy Tomlinson; daughters Barbara Bredemeier and her husband Harold Bredemeier, Beth Terry and her husband James Terry, and Nancy Wallis and her friend Cheryl Musgrave; grandson Kenny Bredemeier; granddaughters Kristen Alford, Robin Terry, and Alyson Terry; and great-grandson Gavin Bredemeier.Virginia grew up in Dallas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1945. After high school, Virginia worked at Graybar Electric Supply in Dallas were she met her future husband. She and Jim were married on July 21, 1956, in Dallas. They lived in many cities in Texas and Colorado, landing in Garland. Virginia was a member of New World Methodist Church in Garland, Texas.Virginia was a loving daughter, a wonderful supportive wife, a fabulous mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. She will be missed by her family still on earth as she joins her mother and granddaughter in heaven.
