Virginia May Millard's Obituary
Virginia M. Millard, or as we lovingly called her, Ginger, age 89, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at her home with family at her side. There will be an “Open House” at Restland Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was married once and that was to Bernard Ambrose of Pennsylvania. After their divorce in the early 1950’s they remained friends, still sending one another gifts and cards until his death in the 1990’s. Once Ginger befriended you, she was a friend for life. Ginger retired from Southwestern Bell in 1984 after 46 years with the company. She made many friends there, even working 2 years in the St. Louis office. She spent almost half of her life with the company and enjoyed her work in the Security Department. She is survived by one sister, Mary Lou Martin of Tulsa, OK, one nephew, Paul Scott Martin of Dallas, TX, one niece and spouse, Constance Martin Tacker and Q. R. “Buzz” Tacker of Verdigris, OK and one great-nephew, Scott Ryan Rader (son of Constance)of Verdigris, OK. Ginger will be sorely missed.
