Virginia Nelson's Obituary
Virginia was raised on a farm in Bowie, Virginia moved to Central Texas after high school, and eventually to Dallas, where she worked for Southwestern Drug, where she met her future husband. She quit working to raise her family and later returned to school and worked as a tax preparer, which was a great source of pride for her. She also became certified in hospice care and helped care for several patients and their families. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Roxie Dorough, brother Bill, sisters Audra Yantis, Mell Searle and Carolyn Langlotz, and husband, E. L. Nelson. Survived by Robert and Judy Nelson, and Michael and Pat (Nelson) Moore. Granddaughter Amy Kubelka and husband Gerard, and grandsons Scott Bates and wife Jennie, and Joey Nelson and wife Shelley, and 15 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation for Virginia will be held on Wednesday, 1/7/15 at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The service for Virginia will be held at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home on Thursday, 1/8/15 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
