Virginia Lee O’Neill December 1, 1925 – February 14, 2019 Virginia “Ginny” Lee O’Neill of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on February 14, 2019 in Savannah, GA. She was born on December 1, 1925, in Rondo, AR. Ginny graduated from Moro High School in Moro, AR in 1943. She received her nursing degree from Baptist Hospital Nursing School in Memphis, TN in 1945. Ginny practiced nursing in Memphis, until her family moved to Dallas in 1967. She continued her nursing career at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and retired from Baylor Garland Hospital. Ginny was a nurse for over 55 years, taking care of thousands of patients with compassion, professionalism and love. She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church and lived her life true to her deep-rooted Christian faith. Ginny was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was taking care of her family and others. Ginny was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph O’Neill. She was also preceded in death by her sister Norma Tate and brother Norris Guynes. She is survived by her sons, Dan O’Neill of Dallas, TX, and Tim O’Neill (Tracy) of Tybee Island, GA, step daughter Ann Padios of Pensacola, FL and step son Joe O’Neill of Scottsdale, AZ. She is also survived by her sisters Thelma Kelley of Choctaw, OK, and Betty Whitworth of Mariana, AR; granddaughters Nevin and Fallon O’Neill of Tybee Island, GA; and step grandchildren Debbie Padios of Memphis, TN, Cindy Davila of Pensacola, FL, Scott Padios of Rifle, CO, Joe O’Neill (Lisa) of Marana, AZ, Chris O’Neill (Amy) of Tucson, AZ, Cassandra Landeros (Jorge) of Roxborough Park, CO, and Griffin O’Neill (Shawna) of Scottsdale, AZ. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ginny’s life on Saturday, February 23rd at 3pm at the Wildwood Chapel, Restland Memorial Park.
