Virginia Lee Sanborn's Obituary
SANBORN, VIRGINIA LEE BAXTER Virginia Sanborn passed away on November 29, 2007 in Plano, Texas. She was born December 17, 1921 in Rockdale, Texas to Lee Allen and Nettie Eugenia Baxter. She graduated from Rockdale High School and attended both Blinn Jr. College and North Texas State Teacher’s College. She married Frank Durham Sanborn on September 18, 1942 in Austin, Texas. They lived in Mexico City, Mexico for over 12 years prior to moving to the Dallas area. Virginia was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Plano, a Sustainer Transfer Member of the Junior League of Dallas, the Rejebian Book Club and the Thompson Book Club. She enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful trips. Virginia loved her family and friends very much. Virginia is survived by her son Frank Allen Sanborn and wife, Carol, daughter Marilee Willingham and husband, AB. Her granddaughter, Sandra Lee Frost and husband Chuck, grandson Don Sanborn Crook and wife Dena, granddaughter Carrie Willingham, grandson Steven Willingham, granddaughter Tracey Lee Bongat and husband Jaime, and great grandchildren: Taylor and Kennedy Frost, Hannah Crook, Emily and Ella Bongat. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Mary Katherine Baxter and a niece Mary Ann Baxter Heilweck and husband Brian, and many other close friends and family members. A memorial service is scheduled at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church of Plano, 3160 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX 75074. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Plano or a charity of your choice.
