Virginia Strickland Stanton
Virginia Strickland Stanton passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 29, 2025. Born on September 10, 1934, in Ballinger, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Dutch and Myrtle Stickland and one of eight children.
On February 16, 1952, Virginia married the love of her life, Randell Stanton. Together they built a beautiful family, raising four daughters. In 1967, Randell and Virginia moved their young family to Dallas, where they made their home and created countless cherished memories.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Randell, in June of 1993: her daughter, Diana, in October of 2022: her parents; and six of her siblings.
She is survived by her daughters: Phyllis Hanes; Janet Creed and her husband Tony, and Lori Mox and her husband Danny. She is also survived by her sister, Janette Cunningham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia leaves behind seven grandchildren- Danna Foehser, Tammi Owens, Lindsey Foehser and husband Jeremy, Kelly James, Brent Baugh and wife Amanda, Randy Mox, and David Mox-along with 19 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
The family would also like to recognize the Hefner sisters-Nancy, Judy, and Kathy— who have long been close to and cherished by the Stanton family.
Virginia's legacy is one of deep love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who knew her.
