Stiff, Virginia Rose's Obituary
Virginia Rose Stiff, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.
Virginia was born on December 1, 1939, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to Ernest Raymond Andrews and Minnie Mae Andrews. She was one of thirteen children, having seven brothers and five sisters, and is survived by her sister, Mary Conley. She was raised in the hills of Kentucky, where her early years were shaped by modest beginnings and a simple way of life.
Virginia spent most of her life in Texas, where she made her home for many years.
Throughout her life, Virginia held various jobs, including working at Leggett & Platt, but she spent the majority of her years as a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis Stiff, as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her four children: David Stiff and wife Renae; Larry Stiff and wife Allison; Debbie Stewart and husband Randy; and Tara Stiff. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Virginia experienced challenges throughout her life but faced them with perseverance and endurance.
Virginia will be remembered for her sassy and outspoken personality, balanced with a sweet spirit and genuine kindness. Her honesty and strong presence made her someone people remembered, while her warmth was appreciated by those who knew her best.
In her latter years, Virginia grew closer to Jesus and developed a walk with the Lord, finding comfort and meaning in her faith.
A gathering to honor Virginia’s life will be held with family and friends.
