Virginia Bennett Wilder's Obituary
On November 27, 2013 Virginia Bennett Wilder went to be with her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James (Buddy) Bennett in 1993. In her senior years, she found another partner Earl Wilder. They spent time traveling and also built a beautiful house just north of Athens, TX before her Alzheimer’s disease began to curtail her lifestyle. As a devoted Christian, she was extremely active in a number of churches over the years and had a strong belief in family, and was a member of Northview Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Earl Wilder; three children, James Bennett, Sandy Looney, Penny Flanigan; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She will be missed! Service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
