Vivian Canellos Boyd's Obituary
was born on October 7, 1961. She feel asleep in the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2008. Vivian fought a courageous 16 month battle with cancer. Her spirit, grace and class touched everyone who knew her. Vivian was preceded in death by her first child, Anna Marie, her brother, George Canellos, her grandparents, George and Vasiliki Cancellos, her grandmother, Vasiliki Droogas, her Thea Tasea Canellos and her Theo George Droogas. Vivian is survived by her two beautiful and loving children, Alayna and Andrew Boyd, her fiance, Mark Smith, her beloved parents, Steve and Joanne Canellos, her brother, Christopher, sister-in-law, Lorena and their three children Christina, Ana and Natalie Vivian, her sister-in-law Denise Canellos and her neice Katherine. She is also survived by her three cousins, Deno Canellos, Antonios Lee and Vicki Woods and their families. Vivian was a life long member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she played an active role in the life of the Church. Vivian graduated from W.T. High School in 1980. She went to Stephen F. Austin University and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated from Baylor College of Dental Hygiene and was a practicing dental hygienist in Dallas for 22 years. Vivian was also a member of the Parish Episcopal School Family where her children have spent their entire school lives. The PES families were overwhelming in the love, kindness and support they have given to Vivian over the long months of her illness. Vivian was a beacon of light, full of kindness and love. Most of all, Vivian, was a great Mom. She loved her children more than anything. Her hopes, dreams, and expectations for her children were always uppermost in her mind. Alayna and Andrew remember that your Mommie’s love and strength will carry you through all that life offers.
