Vivian Jane Yardley's Obituary
Vivian J. Yardley, 97, of Dallas, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2011. She was born on July 22, 1914, in Clarendon, Texas. She was a former resident of Cisco, Abilene, and lately of Dallas, Texas. She was also a long-time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene, Texas. She retired after working for over 30 years for Schkade Brothers Drilling Company of Abilene. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and grandson, Chris Yardley, both of Abilene. Her survivors include two sons, Rick Yardley of Dallas, and Michael Yardley and wife, Millie, of Irving, Texas. Grandchildren include Melanie Hale and husband, Nathan, of Irving, Megan Hallgren and husband, Brian, of Canton, Michigan, and Matthew Verner and wife, Kimberly, of Dallas, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. Graveside memorial services will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas, on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. with viewing before the service.
