Vivian Marie Youngblood's Obituary
Vivian was born on March 15, 1923 near San Angelo, Texas. Her family moved to Commerce at her very early age. She attended Commerce High School and received a BS degree in Home Economics from East Texas State University. She and her husband of 65 years met while attending the University. United in marriage on May 8, 1943. Parted by Marvin’s death on December 14, 2007. Vivian and Marvin lived in the Garland area for thirteen years and in the Richardson area for forty eight years. Vivian was employed at Cooper Concrete – Garland Concrete for over twenty years. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband W. Marvin Youngblood and by her parents Roy and Minnie Battle, brother Bill Battle and sisters Alda Bryant and Bess Young, all of Garland. Vivian is survived by two sons and their wives Bill and Sandi Youngblood of Frisco and Mike and Brenda Youngblood of Plano; grandchildren Laura and husband Brian Fitzgerald of Frisco, Jeremy and wife Grantsie Youngblood of Gunter, Meredith and husband Ennis Anderson of Fort Worth, Stewart and wife Stephanie Youngblood of Allen; great grandchildren Kellen and Clarissa Fitzgerald of Frisco, Alyssa Anderson of Fort Worth, Nico Youngblood of Allen, Clara Youngblood of Gunter and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held February 15th at 3:00pm at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment to follow.
