Vladimir Gorsky's Obituary
February 11, 1953, in Moscow, Russia, and passed away on October 27, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. Mr Gorsky lost his battle with cancer. His wife, Jeanette and mother Leeza were at his side. Vladimir immigrated to the United States in 1987 where he established his career in the USA. Mr. Gorsky became an Interna-tionally renowned artist during the last 21 years of his life. His well-collected images grace the walls of Heads of State, Private Collectors and Art Galleries around the world. Mr. Gorsky’s important masterpiece “Tapestry of the Centuries”, illustrating 2,000 years of world history, can presently be seen as displayed at the main Fort Worth Library in down town Ft.Worth. Mr. Gorsky was well known for his donations to charitable causes during the length of his notable career. His wife Jeanette, mother Leeza Abova, and father John Gorsky, Step-daughter Nichole, his brother Victor Gorsky and sister Lucy McGuire survive Vladimir. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Wednesday October 29, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home, with prayer service beginning at 7PM. Service will be at 2PM Thursday October 30, 2008 at St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral, 4112 Throckmorton St. Dallas, TX 75219.
