W. Joyce Kelley's Obituary
Joyce Kelley, 72, of Forney, TX, was born August 10, 1950 in Athens, TX, to James Henry
Maddox and Wanda Jo Johnson, and passed away on September 20, 2022 at her home. She
married Dennis Kelley on January 20, 1989.
Joyce, better known as “Meme” to her grandkids, loved spending time with family, enjoyed
sewing, and loved learning about the Bible through her local Torah Club. She will be fondly
remembered for her great love of hummingbirds. She loved the color pink, especially pink
carnations. Meme was a very proud Native Texan and was known for her love of Texas
bluebonnets. Meme loved dogs and leaves behind her dog Little Bit. She had a very special
connection to her husband, better known to her as “Dennis the Menace”. While we know she is
gone from this earth, we know that she is alive with Jesus and all who are there to welcome her.
She was preceded in death by: her son Michael David Kuban Jr., her husband Steven Street,
and her parents.
Survived by: her husband of 33 years, Dennis Kelley of Forney, her son George Kuban of
Terrell, her daughter, Terrie LeBeau (Gordon) of Forney, grandchildren; Dusty Kuban and Shelby
Kuban of Terrell; Madison LeBeau, Levi LeBeau, and Hannah LeBeau of Forney, TX. Brother
Jimmy Maddox (Terry) of Lindale, sister Leta Porter (Allan) of Howe, TX, sister Janet LeRoy of
Greenville, TX, as well as many other family members, neighbors, and friends.
