W. C. McHan's Obituary
MCHAN, W.C. 78, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 at Golden Acres Rest Home. He was born on June 20, 1934 in Blanket, Texas to his parents, Jesse and Odessa McHan. W.C. was the youngest of 9 children. He married Lue Edington in Abilene, Texas on June 21, 1957. They had 2 children, Susan Kay and Steven Don. He was a longtime resident of Dallas, Texas for 48 years and was employed by Sterling Jewelry as a diamond manager and salesman for 20 years. W.C. was a member and deacon of Casa View Baptist Church. He enjoyed church volunteer trips, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, his Dallas Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks and playing games with family especially at the large reunions. W.C. will be remembered by his loving family, Lue, Steven, Susan, Kris; granddaughters, Erin and Loren and all of his many nieces and nephews from the Siltman and McHan families. He is also survived by two sisters, June Raney of San Diego, CA and Barbara Murphy of Houston, TX. He is preceded in death by brothers, Muris, James, Richard, Charles and sisters, Virginia and Betty. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service for W.C. at 2:30pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the same location.
