Wallace Wilbur Cohen's Obituary
Services will be held for Wallace W. (Wally) Cohen at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd at Temple Emanuel, 8500 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, Texas 75225 in Lefkowitz Chapel with Rabbi David Stern officiating followed by graveside services at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, Texas. Wally was born in New York City on August 24, 1918 and passed away on May 30, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. He was retired from the Army in WW II with distinguished honors receiving two purple hearts, Distinguished Service Commission and two silver stars. He was an engineer for Varo Mfg. and Intercontinental Mfg. He retired from Collins Radio/Rockwell International in 1984 where he was a Logistic Engineer for 22 years. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley and survived by his daughter, Cheryl Adams, son, Warren Cohen and his wife Suki; grandchildren Brenda Wadsworth and her husband Kevin, Matthew Adams and his wife Melodie, Alex Cohen and his wife Stephanie, Carla Mendralla and her husband Geoff along with his great-grandchildren Austin and Baleigh Wadsworth and A.J. and Joaquin Cohen. Wally also shared his life with Joan Geiger and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Emnanu-EL.
