Where do I begin ? I met Lloyd in 1980 and we became friends shortly thereafter.
It was quite an adventure with him because I never knew someone who was deaf, and he had a fantastic ability to overcome his lack of hearing.
So let the adventure begin!
Lloyd was constantly creating new inventions Or repairing all kinds of amazing things. There wasn’t anything that he could not fix from machinery to figuring out how to build a house out of triangular sections of plywood reinforced panels that would last to this day.
Dirt work to drainage culverts, heavy machines to drive and repair. Lloyd could do it all.
He always was asking me about the government or SpaceX or politics and never stopped soaking up the knowledge.
It was my pleasure to pass on what I could hear. He was a unique individual and I am sure he will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. A true giant of a man.
A better friend nobody could have. I have missed him !
