Wallace Agnew Wyatt's Obituary
Wallace (Wally) Agnew Wyatt was born October 29, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas to Jessie Wallace and Henry Agnew Wyatt . Wally grew up in Lubbock where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and graduated from Monterey High School. He earned his Bachelor’s from Texas Tech in 1968. Wally’s adult years were spent in Dallas, Texas. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and he retired as an Area Manager in 1991. While working there he met his wife, Frieda Hearne Wyatt. Wally and Frieda were married in St. Thomas V. I. on September 9, 1992. Wally’s love of travel continued into his retirement years. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church Richardson where he received great joy from Disciple Bible Studies, serving on the Ark House Board and working on stewardship campaigns. He was also a strong proponent of community service and worked tirelessly to promote fund raising for Parkinson’s research, the Boy Scouts and other charitable organizations. Wally passed peacefully on December 2 after a courageous battle with Parkinson Disease. Wally was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Frieda. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 6.
