In Loving Memory of Wally Jo Cope Herrage May 30, 1938 - March 9, 2025
Wally Jo Herrage, 86, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, March 9, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Jo was born on May 30, 1938 in Dallas, Texas, to parents Wallace Newton Cope and Maude Josephine Coleman. She shared her life with her beloved husband, Joseph Robert Herrage, whom she married on September 27, 1958 in Bedford, Ohio. They were married 64 years until his passing in August of 2022.
Wally Jo Herrage is survived by her three children: Robert Alan Herrage of Wylie, Texas, Joseph Christopher Herrage of Plano, Texas, and Lisa Herrage Tate of Murphy, Texas; daughter-in-law Nanci Herrage and son-in-law James Tate. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Robby Herrage (Leah), Kyle Herrage (Mary), Matthew Tate, and Brysen Tate; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Wallace and Josephine Cope as well as her siblings Patricia Jeanne Harrison, Peggie Sue Roberson, Nancy Marlene Vallo, and Richard Michael Cope; and her beloved husband Joseph Herrage.
She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by those who had the honor and privilege of knowing her. Her life and legacy will be remembered and celebrated by all. Aside from her family, whom she loved and cherished, Jo’s greatest devotion was to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We find peace and comfort knowing that she is finally home, resting in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
