Wally JA Schmerheim's Obituary
Wally Schmerheim, age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. It is said that life is defined by the ones we love. The love of Wally’s life was his wife, Jo Ann, with a marriage that spanned 69 years. Wally and Jo Ann lived in Tyler, Texas at their cottage where Jo Ann plans to remain. Together, Wally and Jo Ann had one son.
Wally was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on November 13, 1934. He was honorably discharged from the Army after four years of service. He was employed for forty-four years with Osborn Manufacturing based in Cleveland, Ohio. Wally had spent his last few years working and all of his retirement as a resident of Texas.
While retired, Wally developed a passion in photography with a focus on pictures of animals, flowers, birds and other nature shots. He was a member of the East Texas Camera Club for a decade where he was honored to receive a second place finish in “Animals” in the Second Annual Print Competition conducted by the ETCC.
A private service will be scheduled with Wally’s interment to be at the Restland Memorial Park of Dallas, Texas
