Walter Nelson Coffer's Obituary
Walter Nelson Coffer was born in Royse City, Texas on February 15, 1926 to M J and Segia Coffer. He went home to be with the Jesus on February 1, 2016. He proudly served in the 82nd Airborne, during WWII. Walter married Charlene Talley on March 5, 1949 and has served faithfully as a deacon of his church. Walter is survived by daughters and sons in law, Linda & Bill Flowers of Garland, Texas, and Becca & Bob Howard of Mesquite, Texas. Grandchildren Kenny Howard and wife Stephanie, of Parker, Texas, Jody Flowers and wife Jamie of Robinson, Texas, Kendra Howard of Mesquite, Texas, Eight great grandchildren, Talley, Maddie, Liam and Rafe Flowers, Kamryn & Johnston Howard, and Walt and Wyatt Flowers. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Coffer, parents M J and Segia Coffer, brothers Joe and Phillip Coffer, sisters Julie Sullivant and Josie Fowler and two infant sisters and grandson, Jeffrey Flowers, He leaves a legacy of faith, love of family and friends and laughter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 2:30 PM at The Restland Memorial Chapel.
