Walter Anthony "Tony" Eeds' Obituary
Walter Anthony “Tony” Eeds, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, went to be with our Lord and Savior, on April 22nd. As man who lived life to the fullest, he became an Eagle Scout at age 14, and was an avid motorcyclist and bicyclist. As past president of the Texas Motorized Trail Coalition, he helped to create the Barnwell Mountain and Escondido Draw parks. As an outdoor enthusiast he climbed mountains in Colorado and canoed the Boundary Water Canoe Area in Minnesota. Professionally he was a well-respected historic preservation architect and Associate Principal for Good Fulton & Farrell Architects, for 12 years, until leaving to start his own firm, White Rock Studio. He is best known for restoration projects of the Windsor and Wooten hotels, Hotel Beaumont, and Fair Park’s Dallas Civic & Garden Center, and Food & Fiber building, and promoting revitalization of downtowns around the State of Texas as board member for various state and civic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Eeds. Children: Kristen Eeds and Jeff Eeds. Stepchildren: Michelle Lanning, Bryan Betz and Bobby Betz. Grandchildren: Graham, Jakob and Luke.
