I became a friend of Bernie many years ago as his computer guy. He just became one of my favorite people. He was a best friend. We had many great conversations of which I will always cherish. He was a wealth of knowledge and really loved his family so much. I think we loved to make each other laugh. He always invited me over to just hang out and tell stories. I couldn’t drive by Bernie’s house without checking on him. What a wonderful man the world has lost. So blessed to have known this man. You are truly missed Bernie.

I only met Mr. Fauser on April 24 of this year. We shared dinner together with Jeff, Camille and Emmy, who are friends I went to meet in Dallas as they were visiting Mr. Fauser. I found him to be gracious and engaging. He reminded me of my own father who was also a welcoming and generous host.

Sadly, I never got to meet Chris, and from what I understand of him, it was certainly my loss.

I grieve with you all. I, too, have lost my Dad, my Mom and my only brother. I can only suggest that you lean on your family and other loved ones for strength and support and that you share the best of your lives with Mr. Fauser and Chris. Tell the funny stories, the quirky stories and the stories that only each of you may know. This will keep them alive in your hearts through the difficult times immediately ahead, and at future family gatherings.

Leona and I established a life long friendship with Bernie and his family while working for Colpet (Mobil/Texaco) in Colombia during 1963/64. Over the years while living or passing thru Dallas, we were often invited to his house for a grill out and beer. Bernie could consume more beer and stay "reasonable" sober than any other person we know. He was not afraid to voice his opinion (loud & clear) about many topics.

We will miss him, but will retain many fond memories about trout fishing and Covenas (Colpet oil export terminal) trips while living in Colombia.

I am sad to hear that the Fauser Family has lost two of its members. I didn't know Chris very well, but always thought your Dad was quite something - very entertaining and engaging. Wishing you as much peace as possible during this difficult time. RIP Bernie and Chris.
