Walter T. Free's Obituary
Walter T. Free, 82, of Copeville, TX passed away on January 11, 2020 in Rowlett, TX. He was born October 20, 1937 in Gordo, AL to Verdo and Nona Free. On August 18, 1966, he married Barbara Johnson in Shawneetown, IL. Walter served his country in the US Army from 1954 till 1957 as a private and spent 42 years in the trucking business as a driver and traveled many places all over the United States. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Stephanie Ramos. He is survived by his wife of Copeville, TX; daughter, Jean Ann Free of Anson, TX; sisters: Virginia Hamilton and her husband, Robert of Garland, TX; June Leader and her husband, John of Lowell, IN; Sarah Lawson of Lowell, IN and Brenda Heivtz of Knox, IN; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held for Walter on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at 12:30 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Restland's Wildwood Chapel with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park.
