Mr. Parker, you were so kind and enthusiastic about what you did. Your passion for your students and great humor is what we (and the world needs now) needed as teens and preteens. I haven't seen you since the 7th grade over 29 years ago, yet I remember your smile and upbeat personality. May you rest peacefully sir, and may your immediate and extended family be comforted.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Parker's family and friends. I was a student of his at EB Comstock Middle School ('77-'79). It was not the most pleasant two years of my life. Middle School is usually a horrible phase in a child's life. Choir and Mr. Parker's dance class made it bearable. I don't quite remember how I ended up there but am glad I did. Mr. Parker choreographed our dances and I can still see him doing the dance moves, stop and think about it, then do something else, and then teach us. I had the coolest black satin one piece jumpsuit and white satin scarf with fringe. We were styling! LOL! Two songs I remember distinctly were "Le Freak" and "Ease on Down the Road" (The Wiz). He was a wonderful man and know he will be missed by many. God bless you!

I knew Walter from his weekends as concierge at the Rienzi. Walter had a kind and gentle spirit and one knew he was filled with Christ's love for his fellow man. I will truely miss my talks with Walter and look forward to resuming those talks on the other side of eternity. Walter was a true warrior and put up a courageous fight against the cancer thqat inflicted him, always with a smile and never with a complaint that I heard. I remember he was one of the positive influences in my life. He accepted us for who we were. Explained life so we could understand. Was very motivating and up spirit. He will truly be miss.
I was a student of his in 1985. Mr. Parker was a great instructor. May he rest in peace.
I was a student of Mr. Parker at Combstock back in 90- 92. This man taught me that you don't have to be like or do what others do to be successful. Me and Clois Taylor used to sit in choir and sing our hearts out and stand proud when it was not cool. Truly one of my inspirations…. R.I.H. Mr. Parker😢😇
