Walter Earl Thorson Jr.'s Obituary
Walter Earl Thorson Jr., age 73, passed away on June 21, 2023, in Quinlan, Texas. He was born on March 30, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, to Winona Lee Cook and Walter Earl Thorson Sr. He graduated from W. W. Samuel High School. Walter was a member of the NRA and loved his classic cars. He had four dogs Coco, One, Two and Six that he loved very much. He was a retired insurance adjuster who enjoyed just being home with the dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Martin Thorson, Kate Barnhart and Glenda Cunningham.
Walter is survived by his wife, Rhonda Hardy; daughter and son-in-law Ashlee & Jonathan Rivera, daughter Skye Tompkins; grandchildren, Elijah Rivera, Kadance Rivera & Katje Tompkins; sister, Sheila Moore; nieces & nephews, Austin Hardy, Stanley Cunningham, Josh Cunningham, Lauren Cunningham, Jan Cunningham, Sheena Taylor, Scott Taylor, Seth Decker, Trinity Crenshaw, Scotty Barnhart, Lee Barnhart, Micah Barnhart, Stephanie Sadler, Martin Thorson Jr; father & mother in law, Mickey & Thelma Hardy; and brothers in law, Shawn Hardy and Terry Cunningham.
He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends and all that knew him.
