Walter Harden Turner's Obituary
TURNER, WALTER H. Walt was born May 4, 1926 in Winston-Salem, NC and passed away August 24, 2008 in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Violet Clubb Turner; daughters, Sherri Alexander and husband, Jerry, Lisa Giberson and husband, Robert. He is the proud grandfather of Matthew and MacKenzie Alexander and Zachary and Logan Giberson. Walt served in WWII, U.S. 3rd Army, 94th Infantry Div from 1944 to 1946. He retired in 1985 from Campbell Sales Co after 34 years of service. Walt enjoyed golf (proud of his hole in one), music and his large collection of classic movies. He will be remembered for is sense of humor, gift of talk, loving his family and his good friends at Chubby’s morning coffee club. Walt was a member of White Rock Methodist Church.
