Walton Herman Stewart's Obituary
Walton H. Stewart, 88 years old, passed away on September 9, 2020. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 2, 1932 to Ruby and Herman Stewart. Walton worked closely with his father in their family business, Stewart Automotive, where he developed a love for entrepreneurship. After graduating from SMU, he served as a representative for the US Agency for International Development and traveled extensively across the Middle East in the 1960s. He was also a manufacturer's rep for several businesses and later turned his attention to real estate. Throughout the years, Walton enjoyed acting as a trusted advisor and mentor to all. He loved music, cooking, and entertaining. In the last years of his life, Walton could be found living at his longtime Dallas home with his daughter, Connie, and one of his beloved English Mastiff dogs. Walton is survived by his three children, Connie Stewart, Christina Cowden, and Zachary Stewart, his two grandchildren, Wynn and Paden Cowden, son-in-law Lane Cowden and daughter-in-law Malia Stewart. Family will receive friends on October 2, 2020 from 4:00 -6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on October 3, 2020 at 2 PM at Restland.
