Wanda Gayle Edge's Obituary
Wanda Edge, loving daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Wanda was born and raised in Dallas, TX on January 5, 1935. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1953. On June 6, 1953, she married Howard Dwaine Edge. Wanda worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for 24 years for Dr. Ballem and Dr. Oliver running their G.I. office in Mesquite.
Wanda was the kind of lady with a bingo dabber in one hand, Maggie Mae in her lap, and Bud on her shoulder. She was a beautiful, classy lady you would rarely see not holding a glass of sweet tea. Her favorite past times were dancing and celebrating Christmas with her family. She loved animals, loved gardening, and loved her family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Neal Vernon Baldwin; mother, Naomi Mabel (Tate) Baldwin; husband, Howard Dwaine Edge; and sister, Julia Ann (Baldwin) Black. She is survived by her brother, John Baldwin; children, David Dwaine Edge; daughter, Teresa Starlene (Edge) Reese; son-in-law, Garry Loyd Reese; daughter, Nancy Gayle Edge; son, Monty Lynn Edge; grandchildren, Garry David Reese, Mandi Gayle Wickman Graham, Keisha Starlene Wickersham Reese, Titus Dominique Edge, Salas Mariano Edge; great-grandchildren, Brady Michael Reese, Maddie Paige Graham, Justice Cailie Martin, Hudson James Graham, Alexandria Breeze Martin, Cason Jagger Reese, Jaxon Chase Graham, Riley Grace Reese, Berkley Cne’Graham, Caleb Russell Reese, Jett Brody Reese; great-great-granddaughter, Jordan Reese; and Wanda's constant companion, Maggie Mae, who has resided with her for the last 6 years and always by her side. #amommaandherdog
