Wanda Brown Hooker, of Rowlett, age 82, entered her permanent home on August 5, 2018 . She was born in Spur, TX on December 16, 1935. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of 31 years of marriage with James Franklin Brown, son Michael Eugene Brown, Granddaughter Jennifer Nicole Brown, one brother Bobby Thomason, one sister, June Payne and a half sibling, Buddy Howell.Wanda is survived by her husband E.J. Hooker, son, James Brown, Jr and wife Joyce, Daughter Andrea Gayle Wiseman and husband Blake and Daughter Kathy Keys and husband Roxie. 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 4 half-sisters and many more extended family.Wanda was an amazing homemaker for 32 years. She then pursued a career at Garland Baylor Hospital where she received her CST Certification and was the recipient of numerous 5 Star Awards. After retirement, she enjoyed visiting with family, reading and spoiling her sweet little her Shit-zu, Prissy.Funeral services to celebrate Wanda Brown Hooker’s life will be held at Restland Funeral Home Cemetery in the Wildwood Chapel on Saturday, August 18 with the viewing/visitation at 11:30 and services to start at 12:30 with a grave-side service to follow.Pastor Kris Segrest will be officiating the service.Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Wanda Merle Hooker have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
