Wanda Marilyn Lymenstull's Obituary
Wanda Marilyn Lymenstull, 90, of Dallas, passed away on November 21, 2019.Wanda was born October 28, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Roy and Alberta (Steinbeck) Gastineau. She was a 1947 Quincy High School graduate. She married Thomas Lymenstull January 3, 1959 and they settled in Dallas, TX living in Lake Highlands. She was devoted to her family, volunteering and giving back. She was very creative and loved using her hands making afghans, scarfs, crocheted hats, guardian angels, gift baskets and oil painting. She loved donating handmade items to help raise money for several organizations that were close to her heart including the Dallas A&M Mother’s Club, the Republican Party as well cancer patients. She was a founding member of the Lake Highlands Republican Women’s Club which this year is celebrating their 40th anniversary. She worked tirelessly for over 25 years volunteering for the Republican Party working on many state and national campaigns as well as serving on the boards of multiple Republican Women’s Clubs. Another passion of Wanda’s was the Dallas County Texas A&M Mother’s Club. She was very involved in the organization serving in various board roles for many years during the time her daughter (Debbie) and son (TJ) attended Texas A&M, including serving as president in 1982. She will be missed and remembered by many as someone that was devoted to her family, very creative, and doing things her way to make a difference.Surviving are her daughter Debbie Brown of Rowlett, TX, son TJ Lymenstull of Dallas, TX, beloved son-in-laws Daryl Brown and Ben Egbert, grandson Joshua Brown, nephews Jeff Gastineau (Cary, IL) and Greg Gastineau (Vail, CO).Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lymenstull, her parents Roy and Alberta Gastineau, brothers Gerald and William Gastineau and sister Dorothy Amundsen.Service to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 12:30 at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, TX. Reception following the service in the RST room of the main Restland Memorial Building from 1-3pm. Burial will be held at DFW National Cemetery on Monday December 16 at 11:00.
