Wanda Elaine Park's Obituary
PARK, WANDA ELAINE HOLCOMB was born January 11, 1934 in Dallas, TX to Homer and Ruth Holcomb. She entered her heavenly home on October 12, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 63 1/2 years Joe W. Park; two daughters, Lainey Ramsey, Austin, TX and Jenice and her husband, Robert Stebel , The Woodlands, TX; six grandsons, Bryce, Casey, Travis, Daryl, Jake Ramsey and Noah Stebel; granddaughter, Alex Ruth Stebel; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Dr. Charles Snow, Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Homer (Bud) Holcomb and Larry Holcomb, both of Tucson, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Helen Morgan and Grace Park, both of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wanda graduated from North Dallas High School and attended Evangel College and The University of North Texas. She loved music and was a very accomplished pianist, organist and soloist. Wanda was a longtime member of Wilshire Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served as the pianist for Charlie’s Angels Sunday School Class. She lived a life fully devoted to her Lord. She was a lady in every sense of the word and treasured her role of loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Wanda will be greatly missed and her sweet spirit, gentle nature and kind smile will be remembered forever. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Wilshire Baptist Church, McIver Chapel in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX 75214.
