Wanda Faye Shaw's Obituary
SHAW, WANDA SMITH Born Aug. 20, 1931 in Ogemaw, Arkansas, has died in Richardson, TX on May 28, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles (Buddy) Shaw. Survived by her daughters, Meg Burgett and husband, Lowell of Wasilla, AK; Karen Holub and husband Bill, of Plano, TX; Jo Smith and fiancee, Sam Sullivan of Montgomery, TX; grandchildren, Walker Burgett, Amanda Holub, Jill Holub and Marshall Smith. Wanda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and friend. Buddy and Wanda were active members of St. Jude Catholic parish in Allen, TX. The mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Jude on Thurs., July 3 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the parish hall and burial at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at 2:00 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at Restland Memorial Chapel on Wed. evening, July 2 at 5:30 p.m. followed by family visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family requests that anyone wishing to honor Wanda do so by donating blood at their local blood bank. Donations may also be made to St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, TX, The Leukemia Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
