Wanda Smith-Gaston's Obituary
Wanda Fay Smith – Gaston left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May, 7, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Smith; father, Rufus; mother, Iva; brothers, Rufus Charles, and Mack Neal Norman Rhodes. She worked for Sears for a few years before moving to San Diego, CA where she went to work for Car Quest as a Secretary and was transferred back to the Texas area. Wanda worked for them for 30 years. She and Johnny lived in Edgewood, TX. Wanda loved to fish, cook, dance, and she and Johnny loved to travel. She thought of her nieces and nephews as her own children and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Gaston of Edgewood, TX; sisters, Jean Rowan of Princeton, TX, Linda McGuire of Waco, TX, and Kay Mitchum of Cedar Creek, TX; twenty four nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews and many others who loved her. Service will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Restland Abbey Chapel, with visitation one hour prior.
