Wanda Williams' Obituary
Wanda Nell Williams, age 92, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025.
Born January 2, 1933, in Corsicana, Texas to Ben and Beatrice Adams.
Married Rex Arnold Williams, her childhood sweetheart, in Corsicana, Texas on November 7, 1950.
Wanda was the youngest of six children. And preceded in death by her parents Ben and Beatrice Adams, sister Allie Morris, brothers Loyce, Alton, William “Doug,” Kennith Adams and loving husband of 52 years, Rex Williams.
Survived by children, Jeff, and wife Karen Williams; Kristal and husband Brad Hopkins; and Randy and wife Denise Williams; grandchildren Josh, Jerrod, Clint, Nicole, Jonathan, David, Sarah, Christopher, Jonathan, Brice, Cole and Kylie, and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In high school she was a majorette and enjoyed playing basketball, she was a trusted 3-point shooter.
Wanda was a talented artist; her painting talent stretched throughout her life from the artwork at Richland High School until she could no longer hold a brush.
Anyone that knew her can remember her beautiful paintings, backyard garden, and tasty cooking. She loved to stay busy serving the Lord and others.
She shared hospitality whenever possible from opening her home to others, sharing time with the birthday girls, playing 42 and 84 with friends, and one on one time with special friends and family.
Wanda was a Christian and worshiped at Christian Care Church of Christ until no longer able to attend services. She loved her God, family, and many friends.
Wanda loved traveling with her husband, exploring new places, and creating unforgettable memories. She enjoyed flowers and gardens and the making of floral arrangements. She also enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, event planning for family and friends, and sewing.
In her final years it brought her great joy to be surrounded by her family and friends, especially the grandkids that would light up her day when they entered the room. Wanda’s spirit will continue to live in the hearts of those she touched and be a cherished memory forever.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. She will be remembered for her love for family and her ability to make you feel loved and cared for. She was kind, loving and caring, and will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 9:30 am before the Celebration of Life at 10:30 am at Wildwood Chapel, Restland, Dallas, Texas.
