Wanda Lavern Williams Hamilton's Obituary
Wanda Lavern Williams Hamilton was born September 2, 1926, in Harlingen, Texas to Roy Van Williams and Alice Sibson Williams. She graduated from TSCW (TWU) in Denton in 1948. She worked as a chemist and toxicologist in various labs in the Dallas area. She married Clardy Burl Hamilton of Lubbock on March 26, 1949.She was a loving, caring person who loved to entertain friends in her home. She traveled extensively all over the world and made friends everywhere she went and will be missed by many from Warsaw to Yerevan.Wanda and Clardy were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Richardson from 1962 until the early 1990s. After moving to Anna, Texas they became members of First Presbyterian Church of McKinney where in her 80’s Wanda was a dedicated volunteer in the ESL educational program.Preceded in death by Clardy on November 13, 1991, Wanda will now be laid to rest next to her husband in the Floyd family plot of Restland Cemetery in Richardson, Texas.Wanda is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann Daniel and her husband Tony of Foster, Oklahoma; a son, Phillip Reece Hamilton and his wife Traci of Anna; and a son, Clardy Roy Hamilton and his wife Rachel of Blue Ridge. Her grandchildren are Rebecca Henson, Matthew Danie, and Joshua Daniel. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Makai Lee, Sicily Kay Dawn, Breck Wade, Felix Tony, London Aver, and Cayden Lane.Viewing and visitation will be at Restland Cemetery Dallas on Sunday, January 13 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Richardson on Monday, January 14 at 10 am followed by a reception and graveside services at Restland Cemetery, Dallas at 12 noon.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Samaritan Inn in McKinney, Texas.
