Wanda Elaine Wilmore's Obituary
Wanda Elaine Williams-Wilmore completed her Earthly assignment
On Wednesday July 1, 2020.
She was born to the union of Harvey J. Williams, Sr. and Henry L. Jones, on May 18, 1954. in Marietta, Oklahoma, and accepted Christ as her Savior under the late Pastor, Rev. Hubert Harris, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, where she was known and loved by all. She attended Marietta Public Schools and later moved to Dallas, Texas and graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in 1972. Wanda was a beautiful soul, and became a Socialite after a financially paid request to join the late Kim Dawson’s Beauty School. She was later crowned the 2nd “Miss Black Dallas”. She was very honored and proud!!! This later landed her a small part in the movie “Logan’s Run.”
As previously stated, her love for people later landed her in the Medical Field at then the new, Medical City of Dallas Hospital, where she was the lead over Patient Admitting. Wanda later met and married her late husband,
Michael Wilmore, and to this union was born her one and only child, Michael “Vernis” Wilmore Sr. (Her Heart Beat).
Being the caregiver that she was, it surprised no one when she opted to become the care-giver for her late Maternal grand parents: the late Vernis and Inez Gaines- Jones, and relocated to Marietta, Okla. After their demise, she relocated back to Dallas, Tx., and became the care-giver to her one and only Maternal aunt, Vernez Jones-Anderson. “Job well Done”.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, One sister, Carolyn J, Wrightsil, three brothers, Donald L. Williams, Harvey J. Williams Jr., and Mark W. Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories, Her Son, Michael Vernis Wilmore Sr. (Ciera), Three grandchildren, Mykayla Wilmore, Michael V. Wilmore Jr., and Jaden Wilmore, all of Dallas, Tx. Four sisters, Mae Pearl Wms.-Scott, (Raymond), Patsy R Wms, Vernessia K. Wms-Battle, all of Dallas, Tx. and Charlene M. Wms.-Brown, of Plano, Tx. One brother, A. Wilford Williams (Dana), of Aurora, Colorado, Nephews, Nieces, and a host of cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends, including her two best friends , Hisani Thomas
and Angela Carter to honor her memory
