Wanda L. Winfrey's Obituary
Died peacefully October 6, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 3, 1917, in Nevada Co., Arkansas. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. She was born to Lena M. Kennedy and spouse. Was reared by her grandfather, ET Kennedy in Hope, Ark., until she was a teenager and then was reared by Nanny and JW May in Bodcaw, Ark. Pre-deceased by brother, Buster May, of El Dorado, Ark.; and sisters and best friends, Cissy May Finch, and Nan May Brown. She was married to Judge Ernest C. Winfrey, who pre-deceased her. She is survived by son, Ronald D. Winfrey and spouse, and Gayle Winfrey Rose Martin. Grandchildren- Kristi Winfrey Coxey of Clarendon, Texas; Ronald D. Winfrey, Jr., Thomas A. Rose IV, Mark Rose, and Michael Rose, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She has a host of special friends and family. Vivi Rose Sooy and her children and grandchildren are special family additions, and she loved them all as her own. Graveside service will be at 2PM Friday October 8, 2010 in Restland Memorial Park.
