Wayelon Clifford Penland's Obituary
Wayelon Penland was born January 12, 1934 to Elmer Penland and Rosabelle Penland. Passed on August 17, 2017. He left from his Oklahoma roots with his family’s move to Dallas, Tx where he attended Woodrow Wilson High then Texas A&M University. At A&M he studied Engineering and participated in the ROTC programs. He was involved in racing at the Devil’s Bowl Speadway in Dallas in the 50s. Enjoyed racing and other motor sports throughout his life. His work life included breakthrough technologies and processes in metal fabrications. He and his wife Wanda raised 3 children in Flower Mound. Later married Deloris, who had three grown children of her own. Deloris and Wayelon lived in the Dallas area until his death. Wayelon is survived by his wife,Delorsi and her 3 children; Kathryn, Janet, and Scott. Wayelon is survived by his children Howard, Susanne and Wysondria; and their mother, Wanda. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 21, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 10:00 AM in The Ascension garden at Restland Memorial Park.
